A degenerated form of technical drawing. When machines bear the weight of a working day, they feel exhausted to the core; like tiredness on the worker’s face.
The principle of the reproduction grid is diverted in my series of drawings. The combined use of the graph paper with the principle of scale allows reducing oversized machines into reproducible technical representations, plans. However, these representations are a degenerate form of the technical drawing : a drawing of an exact form in the aim of manufacturing of an object which reveals only the comic of its outline. The light line of the fountain pen is put in tension with the heaviness, the massive nature of the machines which it represents. Results a fragility, a collapse, a funny ruin.
