My work focuses on labor. Currently, my research deals with the models of agricultural production and aims to bridge the rural and urban world. Land, as a tool of production but also as a symbolic and emotional space - to be surveyed, mapped, probed - is constitutive of my work.
Rooted in social sciences such as sociology, geography, linguistics, and queer ecology, my research combines empirical experimentation with autobiographical elements as the rural and peasant environment I grew up in. My work is shaped by the urgent social and political concerns that come with a rural working-class background and a queer urban identity. The pieces I create seek to bridge these seemingly contrasting realities.
My work has been exhibited in various museums, galleries and art weeks throughout Europe: KINDL Berlin (2024), EKKM Contemporary Art Museum in Tallinn (Estonia, 2022), Bundeskunsthalle (Bonn, 2020), gr_und (Berlin, 2020, 2022), Leipziger Baumwollspinnerei (2019), Art Contemporary Weekend (Bordeaux, 2019), Reinbeckhallen (Berlin, 2018). I also participated in various art residencies: NAC, Lituania, 2020, Factatory, Lyon, 2021 as well as The Art of Being Good, Kunstihoone Tallinn, 2021.
Don't hesitate to write me if you have interest or questions !
