Through my practice I dissect economical and social processes related directly to my own environment. I am interested in critiquing surrounding capitalistic beliefs systems, and in particular how they effect labor, agriculture and territories.
I work mainly on installations using mediums such as sculpture, drawing, video and sound. Combined with my research practice, I collect materials and transform them by hand. My work is influenced by a DIY aesthetic coming from my rural and agricultural background.
Objects, materials, tools or behaviors, associated with a specific environment are diverted away from their primary functions. I am interested in formal and functional analogies like shapes, colours, how things work and their social uses. My aim is to disrupt mechanical systems, like an absurd sabotage; fluctuating from having stark social undertones to humorous and poetic.
